Welcome to “Willowemoc Curious”, a comfortable home reimagined in 2019 to maximize relaxation by being one with nature. Whether you are outside enjoying the private backyard and stream or relaxing inside the meticulously clean and minimalist cabin, it’s hard not to indulge in the natural beauty that surrounds you. Enjoy the privacy of the property while conveniently only being a 20-minute beautiful countryside drive to Livingston Manor, a quintessential upstate town, and less than 2 hours from the GWB! We look forward to hosting you soon and ensuring you have an unforgettable stay.
Modern Open Concept Living Space
Enjoy spending time in the main living space, with giant picture windows and sliding door overlooking the private backyard, deck and stream. The living room includes a Jotul propane stove so you can enjoy a fire inside with just the touch of a button. The dining table fits four comfortably for full meals or games at the property during your stay. The kitchen is well equipped with a gas cooktop (no oven), toaster oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, milk frother, and all the utensils, dishes and pots and pans you could need.
Luxurious Accommodations
Both bedrooms and bathroom are set up for maximum comfort during your stay. The primary bedroom is set up for prime lounging from the Tuft & Needle king-sized mattress facing the massive picture windows giving a sense of being surrounded by trees with a direct view of the brook. The second bedroom is cozier while still giving equal comfort with a queen-sized Tuft & Needle mattress and oversized windows for increased light throughout. The bathroom has a generous walk-in shower, Public Goods products, plenty of space to put your items, as well as a washer and dryer.
Magical Private Backyard Space
One of our favorite parts of the property (it’s why we added all the windows to enjoy it year round) is the private backyard space. Enjoy entertaining, cooking, and dining with the Weber grill, dining table and outdoor couch on the deck just outside the back door, or truly immerse yourself in the backyard experience by enjoying the creekside fire pit and hammock in the back of the property.
Pro Tip: On a clear night, turn off the lights inside and go into the middle of the backyard to take in the beauty of the star filled sky.
Pet Friendly but Meticulously Cleaned
We love to welcome well-behaved dogs, but do ask for an additional $50 fee per pet per stay to help us with additional cleaning and wear and tear - and, of course, would hope you would pick up after your dog as you would at home! We thoroughly wipe down and vacuum all surfaces between stays to ensure a clean stay for all of our guests.
We look forward to sharing this magical space with you!

You'll definitely want a car to take full advantage of your time here, although you could theoretically take a bus to Liberty and a taxi to/from the house. There's a lovely road to walk, run, or bike on right near the house called Flugertown Road.
Willowemoc is a beautiful hamlet that's surrounded by state land, gentle mountains, and various creeks and brooks. The birthplace of fly-fishing in the US was here and on the nearby Beaverkill River - and the Fir Brook outside the house is also stocked with fish (you do need to secure a permit for any fishing). There are plenty of outdoor activities and great trails and roads to run, hike, and bike, but this is an equally appealing destination for people who like to hang out and cook at home with an occasional trip to explore the shops and restaurants in nearby towns like Livingston Manor and Roscoe - or ones that are within an hour's (beautiful country!) drive like Narrowsburg, Callicoon, Kerhonkson, Accord, Phoenicia, and Woodstock.
